Cupping Therapy

As an adjunct to other interventions and services, cupping therapy can be used to reduce soft tissue restrictions.

Cupping therapy is the method of using plastic cups to create localized negative pressure by a vacuum to lift affected soft tissue.

A plastic cup is applied to soft tissue and air is removed using a pump which lifts the soft tissue and improves circulation. With negative pressure, the fascia is gently stretched and unwinds without the discomfort of force.

Benefits of Cupping include:
– Drains & moves fluids
– Relieves Inflammation – Nervous System Sedation
– Expels Congestion
– Stretches Muscle & Connective Tissue
– Loosens Adhesions

– Nourishing Blood Supply to the Skin

Discoloration of the skin may occur.  This is not a bruise.  The discoloration is caused by dead cellular debris, stagnation and excess fluids being drawn to the surface. Sometimes these deposits are left under the skin, which is the best place for the lymphatic system to drain it away.
